Uwe Köller

Uwe Köller (born 1964 in Neuss, Germany) began his successful musical career in 1978 when he commenced as a pupil of Rodney Miller in Düsseldorf and later studied with Pierre Thibauld in Paris, France (until 1985). Subsequently, having been awarded a grant by the Herbert-von-Karajan foundation, he studied with Martin Kretzer. (1986 - 1988)

Following these extremely inspiring years of study he entered into his solo trumpeting profession in the  Berlin symphonic orchestra and became solo trumpeter in the Berlin German opera in 1991. From 1997 onwards Uwe Köller was teaching as guest professor for trumpet at the university of performing arts and music in Graz, Austria. In 1999 he left the Berlin German opera in order to become professor for trumpet in Graz.
